An AI assistant inside Microsoft Teams

Give your colleagues an assistant in the tool they use all day. It answers in Teams channels and chats from your internal knowledge, through an application registered in your own tenant.

Why add an AI assistant to Microsoft Teams

  • Your tenant, your application

The bot is an application you register in Microsoft Entra ID. You keep control of who installs it and where it is available.

  • In channels and in chats

Colleagues talk to the assistant in a team channel or in a one-to-one chat, as they would with a coworker.

  • Answers from internal knowledge

Policies, procedures and product documentation become answers your colleagues get in seconds.

  • The rules you set

Safeguards, tool approvals and handover to a person apply in Teams exactly as everywhere else.

Connect Microsoft Teams in three steps

  1. Register the bot

In Microsoft Entra ID, register an application and create a client secret, then enter its IDs in Squadico.

  2. Set the messaging endpoint

In your Azure bot, paste the messaging endpoint Squadico gives you, and enable the Microsoft Teams channel.

  3. Install the app

Download the package Squadico prepares and upload it in Teams. Choose the agent that answers, and it is ready.

What a Teams assistant is used for

  • HR and internal policies

Leave, expenses, onboarding: answer the recurring questions from your own documents.

  • IT support

Walk colleagues through common fixes and pass the rest to your IT team with the details already collected.

  • Project knowledge

Ask about a client, a project or a procedure without searching through shared folders.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need on the Microsoft side?

The right to register an application in Microsoft Entra ID and to create an Azure bot, plus permission to upload a custom app in Teams.

Is my data sent to Microsoft's AI?

No. Teams only carries the messages; the answer comes from the AI model you chose for the agent, with your own provider key.

Can I choose who can use the assistant?

Yes. You decide in Teams where the app is installed, and in Squadico which agent answers.

Does it support files?

The assistant answers text messages in channels and chats. Your documents are best added to the agent's knowledge base beforehand.
